Meet Your Massage Therapist

“For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you.” ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

Jorge Negrete-Lucke, LMT

Before delving into massage therapy, I spent six years honing my skills as a personal trainer, encompassing roles such as group fitness instructor and gym manager. Throughout this period, my focus was on functional and corrective exercise, backed by certifications from NESTA, NCSF, NASM, USA Weightlifting, TRX, and Precision Nutrition, Level 1. My objective during training sessions was to empower clients to enhance their strength, endurance, and mobility, thereby elevating their overall quality of life and reducing the risk of injury.

Transitioning into massage therapy, I maintain a strong emphasis on the therapeutic aspect, seamlessly aligning with my personal training philosophy centered around improving quality of life and preventing injuries through mobility enhancement and pain management. As I progress in my massage therapist journey, I'm looking forward to continuing my education in prenatal, sports, and lymphatic drainage. To kickstart our session, I conduct a comprehensive intake process where I delve into your individual needs and concerns. By asking targeted questions regarding any discomfort you may be experiencing, your stress levels, sleep quality, movement limitations, and the physical demands of your occupation and hobbies, such as extensive gardening or frequent hiking, I gain valuable insights into tailoring the session to your specific requirements. Prior to our initial meeting, completing a thorough MassageBook Health Intake online facilitates a deeper understanding of your concerns and goals, streamlining the in-person intake process and allowing us to personalize your session from the outset. Depending on your preferences and needs, your massage session may incorporate techniques such as topical pain relief, cupping, RockBlades IASTM, and/or RockTape Kinesiology Taping.

Following the treatment, we'll conduct a brief outtake to gauge your post-session experience and address any immediate concerns. Additionally, we'll discuss post-treatment self-care suggestions and outline a tailored treatment plan based on the insights gathered during the intake process and your desired outcomes.
